This necklace is mother of pearl/ abalone shell. In Hawaiian culture, the locals adorn themselves with a shell-sometimes, puka, mother of pearl or cone shell. It is thought that wearing Mother of pearl promotes faith, charity and innocence. It enhances integrity, provides assistance when trying to focus. It is the “stone of sincerity” It is a beloved shell that is believed to protect the wearer. Abalone is known to encourage intuition, peacefulness and solace.
